Serenity by the Sea Provincetown celebrates another year of recovery, unity, and service for the LGBT community and all of our friends. We will again be enjoying the idyllic setting of Provincetown, Massachusetts as our backdrop for this amazing 5 days of meetings, workshops and activities. Provincetown offers a dynamic setting for our exciting, friendly, and diverse weekend full of recovery, growth and spirituality. Many folks come early and stay late, the strong recovery community has plenty of room for your experience, strength, and hope.

Beginning on Wednesday night after the local 6:30 Step meeting gather at Bayside Betsy's for a private meet n' greet for the large crowds who are here for the week, with plenty of food and fun, then on Thursday get ready to be rocketed into the 4th dimension where  we will have the second annual Are These Extravagant Promises open discussion meeting, followed by another delicious evening at Fanizzi's by the Sea.  For the official kick-off on Friday, celebrate your progress with meetings and workshops all afternoon, followed by a dynamic 3 speaker meeting under the big top, with 1000 of your closest friends. Then to keep the energy flowing, head on over to the Friday night Cabaret and celebrate the talents that abound in us all, or become a participant and dare to celebrate your talents, and give them away on stage. If you have not discovered yours, you soon will, surrounded by your friends, and the many friends to be made.

Start your Saturday off with an on-site Yoga class, a wonderful walk down the Historic Commercial Street, or across the Breakwater to the Long Point Lighthouse. Perhaps a 12 mile Bike Hike through the National Seashore, or the 3 mile Fun Run will keep your balance resonating. Meetings and workshops will continue throughout the entire day, again followed by a 3 speaker meeting with the twinkling lights of Provincetown in the background.

Then get your dancing shoes on and head to the Crown and Anchor for a night of sober dancing like no other! “One of the most authentic sober dancing experiences I have ever had, to be surrounded by a sea of friends, family, lights, sound, and sobriety was a promise come true.”

For a most wonderful closing day, celebrate your gratitude with a open discussion meeting Sunday morning under the Big Top while gazing across Cape Cod Bay and soaking in the serenity and companionship.  Then for once last tasty evening of fellowship join us at the Top of the Pot for a Rounddown dinner.

Together with Al-Anon participation it has been the privilege of Serenity by the Sea to continue celebrating the recovery of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and friends of, community. Our purpose is to support individual recovery and maintain unity within the safety of our beautiful surroundings.
